How I helped Ian Nixon lose over 12 stone!

Professional footballer Ian Nixon was always fit and athletic, he played a lot of sport, was 6ft tall and weighed in at respectable 12.6 stone. Ian loved what he did for a living and loved life. Then in an instance it was all taken away from him. Ian fell down a flight of stairs and dislocated his pelvis in an accident that would bring his football career, and at times he felt his life, to an end.

Ian goes on to explain, “I was laid up in bed unable to move for 3 months. After that initial period I was able to get back on my feet and had a bit of mobility to the point where I was able to walk, although with a tremendous amount of pain. I was getting through the day by taking a large cocktail of pain killers and restricting my movement as much possible.”

I started to feel sorry for myself and fell into a state of depression using food and binge eating as my escape. I went from being an athletic young man to an overweight, depressed, old looking disaster of a man. I topped the scales at a massive 26.4 stone and the sad thing was I didn’t care!

“Then my first child Luke arrived but due to the pain I wasn’t able to lift or carry him, I couldn’t even bend over to pick him up. However he gave me the strength, motivation and determination to fight back to fitness. I gave up the junk food, began to walk a little and slowly my fitness improved. However I was still really self conscious about my body as I still had a lot of stomach fat and loose skin which was really difficult to move”.
It was at this point Ian noticed an advert for Tina O’Doherty’s Inch Loss clinic and decided to sign up for a course of treatmentsIan says,

“The service was excellent, I was made to feel really comfortable by the professional and courteous staff. The treatment was so relaxing and totally pain free. I felt a difference straight away due to the muscle toning, and after 3 or 4 sessions I really noticed a difference in terms of how my body looked. All round it was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone as not only does it work, but it made me stronger and I felt great”

“I also took great inspiration from Tina’s story, it helped me get where I am. It's always good to know that you are not the only one to have been in that position and its possible to get out of it with a little bit of will power, hard work, dedication and inspiration”.
